The fixed fee for a Marketing MRI is £22,500

Chris Wheeler

The fixed fee for a Marketing MRI is £22,500. I want to address that directly because the CFOs and CEOs I speak with are right to think carefully about it.

It is not cheap relative to what it is called. It is cheap relative to what it finds and what the cost of not finding it has been running at.

I have yet to run a Marketing MRI in a business at serious ecommerce or digital revenue scale where the structural inefficiency it surfaced was worth less than ten times the cost of the assessment. I am not promising that as an outcome. I am saying it as context for what that number represents in proportion to the problem it is being asked to diagnose.

If the fee feels high, one of two things is true. Either the problem is not yet painful enough to justify serious action, in which case wait, and come back when it is. Or the current reporting has not yet made the cost of the problem visible enough. In that case, the first question worth asking is what the current reporting is not showing you.
