Nobody who works for you can tell you what I am about to say without calculating the professional cost of saying it first. I want you to sit with that before I say it, because the fact of it is as important as the content.
The commercial system that your business depends on for revenue generation is being protected by the people inside it in ways that make the system harder to see clearly. Not through dishonesty. Through the structural reality that everyone inside a system has interests inside a system, and naming the real constraint, particularly when it sits in the design of the whole rather than the performance of any part, requires a kind of freedom that employment does not grant.
I do not work for you. I have no relationship with your CMO to manage, no career inside your organisation to protect. I look at the commercial system from outside it and tell you what I actually see. That is not a luxury. In a system diagnosis, it is the qualification.
